The Best Dumbo Photo Spots
I’m sharing the best photo spots in Dumbo and more from a recent portrait session in NYC with travel blogger Dana Berez. She wanted to take some portraits at some of the most photogenic Instagram spots in Dumbo and I let her know that I knew exactly where they were.
Janes Carousel
Janes Carousel is the most unique dumbo photo spot because it is a carousel and really has a nostalgic childlike feeling and makes for a great photo backdrop. The lights from the carousel at night is especially romantic! Tickets are $2 if you want to let out your inner child.
Tip: Don’t forget to visit at night the lights are even more beautiful & romantic!
Washington Street
This street is the most famous in the Dumbo photo spot. You will find many tourists lined up at all hours of the day for this super photogenic street. This gives you a perfectly symmetrical shot of the Manhattan Bridge right in the middle of the photo.
Tip: Be sure to get there super early because it is one of the most popular streets in NYC. Also, don’t be afraid to take photos of different angles.
Brooklyn Bridge Park
There’s an amazing park right under the Brooklyn Bridge called Brooklyn Bridge Park which is not too far from Janes Carousel and they have a large grass area which you can also lay out on, perfect for sunbathing & a sunny day picnic.
Pebble Beach
At the very edge of the water is Pebble Beach and it looks like a very small Beach in Brooklyn Bridge Park. There is a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge Manhattan, NYC Skyline, and One World Trade from one angle. It’s absolutely beautiful at night for sunset and is a very popular location for surprise proposals, engagement & wedding photoshoots.
Street In Dumbo
This street gives you a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge! The street also used to have railroads (which have been paved over). Not too far away is the Time Out Market & more shopping.
Brooklyn Bridge
Who doesn’t love the Brooklyn Bridge! Once you are done taking photos in Dumbo you can head on over to the Brooklyn Bridge and walk the bridge or simply go to any photo spot on the bridge and take in the wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline and stunning gothic arches.
I hope you enjoyed these amazing photo spots in Dumbo Brooklyn. If you enjoyed these photos be sure to contact me for a session of your own at these photogenic locations
